Car culture has always had its hero’s. The icons that are strong and timeless. The one’s we look up to. Porsche has always had a stake in that list of hero’s, and machines like the 911 Turbo just refuse to give up.
The timeless chassis’ of classic 911’s, such as the 930 turbo, continue to influence and shape modern day Porsche’s. Today these gems are highly prized, collected, and rebuilt. Which is why we were more than happy to meet up with Mark and check out his 930 tribute.
Mark’s build in progress is a tribute to Steve McQueen’s own 1976 930 turbo, even dressed up in the proper slate grey paint job.
911’s are ridiculously photogenic, and the slate grey color gave the car a certain dynamic. As the light changed throughout the day the car’s character changed along with it, almost adapting to the setting and available light.
This photo shoot was also in good timing as were able to check out the iconic 6th street bridge before it would be taken down for a new project to take its place.
A quick social media break before we moved locations.
Big thanks to Mark for bringing the car out, it was a special day since it was the first feature photo shoot for Boost Paradise. Please check out the Boost Paradise Flickr page where we will be uploading all the photos from this post, plus a few extra photos throughout the week.
